Online Art Gallery

Because children’s mental health matters!

Each year, the WATCH coalition and community partners host a Youth Art Gallery to showcase the artwork submissions from the Children’s Feelings Are a Work of Art – Youth Art Contest. The artwork, created by Denton County school aged children, in brought to the community in an effort to increase the awareness of children’s mental health and to engage the community in children’s mental health related conversations. This year, in an effort to keep the community safe, the Art Gallery is online. Simply click on the boxes below to participate!

Helping Make it Okay to Say™

This year the WATCH coalition teamed up with our friends at Okay to Say™ to share its message in the 2020 Children’s Feelings Are a Work of Art – Youth Art Contest.

Initiated by Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, Okay to Say fuels open conversations about mental health and encourages Texans to speak up and share hope to support friends and family with a mental health concern.

WATCH agrees, it is okay to talk about mental health and this year we asked the kiddos in our community to share “how” they speak up to share their feelings. Click on the Art Contest Submissions button above to find out how they answered our question. Then, click on the Community Reflections Board button to share your thoughts on what you learned.
